Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

How many times away from home have we put in a carbon copy of today. It feels like every other away game goes the same way and has been like this for nearly two years
End up pissed off sat at home and another weekend ruined
It’s almost scripted to the point you can sit there and actually predict everything is going unravel the fact we right the game off as us being shite is compounded every time that we actually should come away with something but for woeful finishing

We have been up against .this type of officiating more than most,in the last 10 years or so
We have been able to overcome a lot off it because we were the best team in the world ,we are not that at the moment.
At the start of the season the feeling around most of us was a rebuild was underway ,to me its still the case.
lots to be hopeful about ,and i love that pep still has fire in his belly, i think we are going to be fine

OK mate , still pretty certain you won't ignore the Premier league if we lift the trophy, you're just having an emotional reaction to today's game.

I respect your view see you have been on here since 2008 ... its not about todays game... i think we are carrying some very lightweight average players ...

Its the whole thing...

In the last time in ten years City have lost to Newcastle once before tonight, what point are you trying to make?

That at certain stadiums we just don’t perform as well? We’ve got away with a few at their place but battered them at home? Spurs away as well was always one of, Anfield besides the covid season is always a game we tend to shit the bed as well?

A great game and a great advert for the league.
We had enough chances to win, and didn't take them, and they had chances too.
We were the better side, but they were excellent, very physical, and the referee allowed them a bit too much leeway.
I don't think you change a team that has been so good, and I think the starting lineup was bang on.
I definitely thought we should have had a penalty and would have gone on to win had we scored that.
Onward - we are definitely a team in progress.
100%
in my view it could of been 2 1 or 3 0 to either side or 3 3, only thing i question is should rjindeers of started in front of bernardo to add a bit of muscle.
we are a year away from being condenders for the title but its looking good
