This is the problem, even assuming that cheating is out of the question it will vary week by week depending on the officials and how they see it, therefore it's not fit for purpose, unless fully automated (in the future) without bias.
Yeah for us it's a brilliant result but on a personal level I genuinely wanted you to win today as I was chatting with a fellow Bluemoon member earlier this week who was taking his grandchild to SJP today for their 1st ever City away game so I did want City to win for the kid (but then lose a different match shortly afterwards!).

Even the picture they’ve come up with, is still showing him as offside. There’s no ‘interpretation’ with this one. The law actually says that you take the offside position from the armpit. Not any part of the arm, not the cuff of the sleeve (that’s for handball). Of course, we may still have lost, but this is a decision that is just wrong.

Ah wow yes so we need to disregard the elbow as that's part of the arm. It's a shocker then - I thought the only reason it was considered onside was because upper body counts but if the arms don't (and the shitty image showed the elbow playing him on) then it should have been ruled off.
