We need to go out there respecting Newcastle, but not fearing them. I'm assuming there'll be an early onslaught from them, urged on by the shirtless Adonises in the Gallowgate. Ride that out, control possession of the ball (as per normal) and, hopefully, the likes of Kev, Phil, Rodri, Erling et al should be able to weave their magic. 2-0 or 3-0 for City in the sportswashing derby (©Miguel Delaney, Nick Harris etc).

Every time we have played Newcastle in recent years, home and away, they have set up with at least 9 men behind the ball and have shown little or no ambition to attack us. Given what we did to West Ham and Bournemouth I expect more of the same from them. We are going to have to beat them same way we beat Bournemouth. Keep the ball, pass, move their defenders around, look for space and wear them down.

I'd be amazed if they do anything different to every other team even the 'big' ones are shit scared of us and won't play.
