Newcastle United (H) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

I don’t understand the tactics. We’ve got two CB’s in Walker and Gvaridol playing more or less as wingers, the former not having an attacking bone in his body. Our striker needs service on top of that. Despite this highly conservative approach from Pep, we’re still conceding goals for fun—shoutout to Akanji and Foden, who I thought were brilliant. Doku as well.
We’ve conceded the third fewest goals in the league (4 more than Arsenal who have conceded the fewest), the fifth fewest in the CL (none of them consequential), and joint second fewest in the FA Cup (again, none of them consequential).

We just earned a clean sheet with Newcastle having one decent chance. This time next week we could go top of the Goals Allowed league table.

Could we better? Absolutely.
Are we conceding goals for fun? Absolutely not.

What's wrong with you?

Tell me please... who won the knockout tie and are into the semi-final?

What the fuck are you moaning about?

"Hasn't got an attacking bone in his body"

Oh PLEASE.

JJ
So, do you think Walker has an attacking bone in his body?

I'll be the first to admit that Pep's current tactics are doing him ZERO favors.

Because of the win, you're acting like us conceding too much hasn't been a central talking point all season.

Efficient rather than sparkling. Niggly Newcastle offered no competition. Dare I say a bit boring but not our fault. Bernado specialising in in—offs.
