All the guys played well, particularly the new guys, my god they've fitted right in if thats the evidence.

The feeling in the team, between the players looked good too. Gonzalez applauding Stones, the new little freindships and partnerships... Everyone was happy for McAtee too, those things are important, playing for each other etc. Maybe our results in the ATP case had their effect too.

Winning in Madrid might be a step too far, its a different arena, different level, but this sure sets us up for a fight.

Haaland grew 2 inches with that armband on I'd let him keep it. I like having that big massive unit staring down the opposition skipper at the coin toss aswell. Found it reassuring.

Rico and sav are forming a decent partnership on that right side as they were at the start of the season before sav got injured two good young players . Kush gives great cover behind Rico who I really like but has had a tough time with the way the midfield and back line has been effected by injuries . Nico was absolute class today no fuss loved that he wants to pass forward between the lines into phil early when it is on .
