We were absolutely humiliated today. You fans deserve playing someone competitive. I thought we'd lose, but it would be a good game and competitive. I'm not taking anything from you guys, despite what some people think I personally think your the benchmark in which to be judged, but dear me the Club I love sometimes humiliated and embarrass you and today for me,this was the case. I just wan us to bed competitive, it'll make the PL competitive. Well played you were fantastic today but you were let down by us, we didn't even give you a game. We are so s**t sometimes, I'm fuming.

He’s played like he’s finished for 4-5 months to be fair, but in a position he can no longer play.

Hopefully today is the start of the Gundogan revival.

We all know Mr Whippy loves a goal in April and May.

Lets consider the new boys, Khusanov is Otamendi with pace, he is rugged, loves a tackle, will of course make the odd mistake but i think after his nightmare debut he showed a lot of bolloxs today and considering he was up against Isak, i thought he was superb.

Nico, mini Rodri as people have said. He grew into the game and got stronger and stronger, didnt really do anything special, but he kept us ticking and was always available for his team mates. He will get better and better i expect.

Marmoush. I rated Alvarez highly, but i think we have an upgrade, His movement is exceptional, his finishing is very good, he is lightening quick but clever. There is so much more to come from him, he excites me.

Savinho was brilliant today and it was great to see Doku back, as an old romantic i love wing play and we have two belters

Best performance of the season for me. I don't care how bad Newcastle were, we looked good going forwards and reasonably solid at the back.
We've lacked energy all season and today showed what we've been missing.
And Rico had a good game as well.

Delighted with the attack performance today...Great to see Marmoush's hat trick....but the best element of today's performance was that we actually looked like we had a proper defence for the first time in months

Really happy with that, Nico such a difference maker in there. I dare say had Rodri stayed fit, Gundo wouldn't have had anywhere close to the season he's had.

You need to focus on the League Cup. It all started with a trophy for us.

The new guys were superb - Khusanov - seriously quick and strong - Gonzalez - dominant, tenacious and delivered colossal stats - Marmoush - quick, skilful, cool and a lethal finisher. Opponents will struggle to deal with him because he's making runs in places they don't expect and very alert to opposition mistakes.
