Newcastle United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Newcastle are a good team, that was a very good result.

We should have made it more comfortable really with the breakaways that we didn't turn into shots.

We were not as bad in the second half as other recent games. Sloppy, yes. But the fight and effort was there in spades.

Haaland looks well up for the run in.

Pressure on Arsenal now, come on City!

Rag central can't help themselves on 93 mins
A few empty seats around the Etihad now. They must think the three points are wrapped up.

I dunno if its possible to fix the 2nd half problems with Don in net tbh

He can't kick it long and find our players.

I think his short passing is actually pretty decent, but he seems scared to do it to our players receiving under pressure.

Result all that counted there, but thought we played very well. Would just like to see Big Erl get his scoring boots properly back on, but he had a very good game.

Ref, awful.

Get in, still big issues in the second half though at least we were solid defending their attacks and they created very little, but it's like they leave their shooting boots in the dressing room during the break.

Should had made it more comfortable on the break, but what really matters is the three points. At this point in the season it's not about performances, it's all results and momentum.

Huge pressure on Arsenal tomorrow.

It's unbelievable how unlucky we are at times. That shot by Semenyo after Cherki's pass—at Bournemouth, he scores that every single time.
Then, at the very last second, Pope turns into freaking Lev Yashin and saves first from Haaland, then from Foden.
Despite those awful, painful-to-watch last 25 minutes, a fair result should have been 4-1.

Get in!! Played great in the first half, couldn't keep it up again, but got the job done.
Good to see rodri getting back up to speed, not sure Nico was man of the match, two cracking goals but he looked a bit lost in the second half and couldn't get into the game at all
