Strange performance, showed an awful lot of fight and desire which is exactly what we want to see, but just felt we were a bit sloppy overall

Im not sure i really understand the 2nd half performance, we couldn't get any passing rhythm going, but still managed to create 2 or 3 chances to kill the game off

Back 5 were really good, and the midfield worked hard; Haaland gave everything but I thought Marmoush and Semenyo were a little bit slack

Great win though and thats the main thing

That's the kind of grit you need to show to get over the line sometimes. I think Guehi and Khus were absolutely rock solid in that second half (with a bit of help from Haaland). Despite us not having a lot of the ball they limited Newcastle to half-chances and shots from range.

I'm still totally convinced their scruffy deflected goal was offside.
 
I think it's important to talk about the flip side of the coin to our shit 2nd halves. This is a new team, they are learning that they CAN do it.
That they can stand in the face of adversity, that they are made of more.

It will really BUILD the team collective.
This and Liverpool will be really inportant.

And on the opposite, what are Arsenal's players feeling. Inevitably that they will drop points, we will claw it back, that they can't win.

Game by game we are building and they are falling.

We were great in the first half.

Need to cut out daft fouls near our box.

Khusanov and Guehi are our starting CBs.

Haaland was fantastic.

Fucking love Nico O'Reilly. Great player. It's a shame he's English, but hopefully they'll start Mainoo ahead of him.
 
Best overall performance for a long time that.

Some outstanding football but just as fucking good off the ball.

Everyone put an immense shift in. Bernardo and Rodders rolling back the years. Haaland like he’d been on the finest columbian. Guehi cold as ice. Ait Nouri causing havoc with this forward forays. NOR giving us a taste of the next decade with him at number 8.

They fucking wanted that.

Let’s see what the southern fannies are like when the heat really is on.

100% Newcastle deserved what they got. On another day we'd score another two. Excellent first half and showed spirit in the second.

Burn lucky to stay on.

Great 3 points and all the pressure on Arsenal tomorrow.

Khus coming on second half to help with pace is a big bonus.
 
They are a team sent out to clog and moan. Poor from them. Semenyo was average and we still need a LB. Brilliant 3 points and the type of game we’ll hopefully look back at with blue specs when we win the league.
On a side who the fuck found Khus? Reminds me of kompany a little.
