Newcastle United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I don't even know if it's fitness.

It's happening as soon as the game restarts after half time. If we were hitting a wall after 60-70 mins, then it's fitness. But to look good, then can't get going again as soon as second half starts, it's a bit odd. Almost like it's psychological. Obviously you have to factor in the opposition making some tweaks at half time but still...
Bad management by Pep not reacting to opposition tactic changes perhaps but it’s concerning its every single game, we got away with it tonight though

I dunno if its possible to fix the 2nd half problems with Don in net tbh

He can't kick it long and find our players.

I think his short passing is actually pretty decent, but he seems scared to do it to our players receiving under pressure.

Tonight and against Liverpool he's pulled off two stunning saves to win us both matches.

That's why he's in the team

Amazing the desire and fight in this team. Could have given up and settled for a transition season we are showing some big John stones boulders to keep in the race. Love Guehi stepping into the tackle to win the ball. Haaland big energy. Khus sprinting around. Silva all over the pitch and O Reilly channeling Yaya

2nd half wasn't as bad as usual. They didn't get much on target and we should have scored at least one

Enjoyed that. It wasn't pretty but was a proper gutsy display. The crowd played their part too they sounded great.

Real spirt shown to get the win, but still the second half drop off has to be a worry moving forward.

Difficult win but a really important one.

Wasted about 10 counters due to poor final passes or wrong decisions, especially in the 2nd half.

The lads properly fought for the 3 points, though.

O'Reilly is a contender for our player of the season.
He is the player of the season. By a universe. He’s 19 mate. 19.

Good team performance. Really battled for each other.

So many good performances and we created plenty of chances and really should have won by far more. O'Reilly the only player to take his chances. Semenyo, Haaland and Marmoush should have all scored (at least one). Ait-Nouri needs to stop being such a greedy **** on our counters. He's done it a few times now.

Well deserved 3 points. Well done to all!

Donnarumma, Haaland, Nico, Khusanov, Guehi all fantastic.

The rest wern't good enough tbh. Bernardo was horrendous, Semenyo was miles off it & Ait-Nouri was sloppy in his big moments.
Ait Nouri was good.

Bernie was decent

Semenyo was so so

I think overall it was a decent performance against a battling team.

We showed everything the Goons havent got , big cahoona's , not at our best and another 2nd half where we gave territory away , but every player gave their all , proud as f*ck about that performance , we might not be the standard of previous title teams but we have the same winning attitude and determination.
Special mention to Haaland , what a contribution he made in attack and defence , it took three of their giant defenders to stop him at times and how Burns didnt get a red card was an utter disgrace , and that **** Linton should have been off , he did three fouls in 60 seconds and still continued kicking everything above grass , he a f*cking yard dog.
Enjoy your trip back you Geordie bastards , getting home at stupid o'clock , with f*ck all to show for it.

What a win a massive win our new players will learn more from that game than a comfortable 4-0 win just because they new we had to win that there is pressure, also Newcastle didn’t let up the whole game! We never settled and that is partly to Newcastle pressing none stop and our poor poor end product

Get the fuck in! Come on Spurs!
