I don't think we're (Newcastle) good enough to win this one yet so I hope for a close game and a single goal defeat which is progress for us. I think we can give you a good game but that will depend on us not getting blown away at the start. We can make a game of it if we can keep you out for the first 20 minutes or so.

My guess for our starting 11 is that it will not be any different from the team that played Villa unless we’ve picked up any knocks, none have been reported.

Mick do you think Howe will get you your first trophy… I hope he does (not at City’s expense) but not sure if he’s got that killer instinct that Mancini brought to us to get us over the line and tear that banner down ??

Hope Phil plays a lot better than he did against Sevilla, although I think the heat fucked a lot of our lads up. A lot of pressure on Foden now to chip in with goals and assists in Kev's absence

How is it that Newcastle are rampant after a 4 goal victory at home in which Villa had plenty of good chances yet we are apparently no-hopers after a 3 goal away victory against a more than useful Burnley side?

Another tough one this and under normal circumstances I think we win by 2 clear goals.

However with the squad not yet formalized, significant injuries and illness, plus having played a short time before in 27C heat at midnight, with no chance to recover properly.

These players played in sweltering heat, past midnight which means today is lost, leaving just Friday for a day off?

Iv seen the PL move fixtures for liverpool and united why not for city?
