Only reason Mourinho goes there is because the takeover is happening and Mendes is about to 'facilitate' a ton of new transfers.

Not interested in spending millions to challenge for trophies; its just a cash cow.
Gold is the same at West Ham and Levy at Spurs to some extent.
Then when fans complain, hit em with the FFP b.s.
Rinse and repeat.
It’s not sustainable to just 100m every season. Don’t think there’s anything wrong with a different approach that. You can’t always rely on huge transfers. Levy at Spurs is a good example of that. Realistically Newcastle are where they should be. A mid table club who haven’t won anything for decades

I hope they get someone decent, I quite like Newcastle. The Geordies I've met have all been sound lads, they like a pint or two and they're always up for a laugh. Plus the ones I've met don't like scousers - what's not to like?

They had that one good season twenty odd years ago when they came 2nd, and have believed they're a massive club ever since. Hasn't Stockport got a larger population than Newcastle?
