The WTO didn't claim the Saudi state was responsible for BeOutQ though. It's wording was "individuals & entities within Saudi Arabia" but not that the state or MBZ was responsible. It also ruled that the Saudi legal system had failed to allow Qatar to enforce its IP rights over BeIn content. I'm not sure Al Jazeera is really the best source for an unbiased report.

MBS (note the S, not Z) Is the de facto ruler of KSA. Nothing happens in Saudi without his authorisation. You’re taking everyone reading for mugs if you think you can persuade any of us that BeOutQ is anything other than state run and authorised.

Also note the wording was “prima facie" evidence that beoutQ is "operated by individuals or entities under the jurisdiction of Saudi Arabia”

That’s a different sentence and meaning than “individuals & entities within Saudi Arabia” as I’m sure you’re aware.

They are not against the takeover, they want to armstrong the Saudi into dismantling the piracy operation and eventually make them participate in the next TV rights auction. This would raise a lot more money.

Seems like Saudi are actually moving in this direction, at least for other leagues.
