It’s virtually impossible to score a hat trick and not be MOTM, but Savinho, Nico and Stones ran him close today. And, tbf, Ederson did everything very very well, with the exception of one deep cross. His kicking was outstanding today.

Kudos all around, but Omar was “Oh my!” today.

Got to be Marmoush but Nico, Stones, Savinho, Gvardiol and Khusanov all top class, the whole team played really well, it's the first game in ages that really got me cheering!

Probably for the first time in ages nobody had a poor game.
There were plenty of good performances and it was difficult to choose one.
From up in 303 it’s easy to see the players movements and see what is going on everywhere. My vote went to Nico. He not only commanded midfield but was really vocal with the other players.

Nico had a fabulous game as did Marmoush. Though Savinho and Kushanov were great as well. But Jon Stones was back to his best and was fabulous so gets my vote.

Nico got my vote for the difference I think he made to the team. His presence, in my view, gave Gundogan the confidence to do what he can do so well; it gave the back four a shield and a constant outlet; and it allowed the full-backs to both have an attacking role without creating apprehension and vulnerability. One game, yes, but the best players improve those around them, and back to front we were much improved. Time will tell if this continues to be the case.

It's GOT to be Marmoush, because he got the hat trick, and he won us the game ..... but aside from one ridiculous pass from Gvardiol that almost resulted in Newcastle scoring, i find it hard to criticise anyone in sky blue yesterday .... Gonzales, Stones and Savinho were also excellent.

We will have a better idea of whether we're really 'back or not' by next weekend, after we've played Real Madrid and Liverpool .... because even though we looked far better yesterday than we have done, it has to be said that Newcastle were, by their standards, pretty poor.

The central base of Gonzales, Khusanov and Stones didn’t give Newcastle a sniff and passed the ball really well and most importantly passed the ball forward into dangerous areas.

Also good to see Khusanov shake off his jitters and turn in a solid performance. All I need now is an embarrassing performance from the rags and the week end is perfect.

Steady on City, beat what was in front of them but the Georgies were very easy to play agin.
