Newcastle Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Just thought that today was an identical game to Boxing Day 2010. Two up in the first half, played well, Newcastle came out scored then really pushed for an equaliser then we hit them with a third with about fifteen minutes left.

Thought the same thing Dan...

Can't complain with the performance given we were without VK and GB and JM.

Great result and great to keep 6 points adrift having played away.

Still undefeated away which is terrific.

Only soured by injuries to AK and SN which is becoming a major problem for us now.
Richards Maicon Rodwell all out too.

Don't forget Mario as well.

I was trying.....

Tremendous win for us , even allowing for Newcastles form ..... that is never an easy place to get a result.

I thought the whole side played pretty well , although Clichy needs to concentrate a bit more ...... but Zabalata was top notch throughout , and first half so was David Silva too ...... Joe Hart also had a top game ...... Tevez and Aguero always proved a threat , and i thought the much maligned Samir Nasri also played well too , before injury got the better of him

... in fact some of our football in that first half was absolutely breathtaking.

We rarely hit the same heights in the second half , but still had our moments ... it's a mystery how we only managed to score three times in that game , because we had some golden chances , and 17 shots from the visiting side is pretty good going.

Once again poor defending allowed our opponents to hit back early second half , and for a while what followed proved to be a pretty nervy half hour for us .... but we always looked dangerous on the break , and Yaya finally wrapped the game up.

Great three points . but with the rags winning again , it HAD to be !

Ps ...... special mention for Kolo too , had a great game ..... okay our centre backs should have done better for Newcastles goal , but by and large Kolo was terrific today !

Sky have changed their possession stats.

At the end of the game it was Newcastle 47% - City 53%

Now it's Newcastle 54% - City 46%

So what is it?

The only one that matters is Newcastle 1 Manchester City 3

Daily Mail ..

She met her new man after a mutual friend set them up and ever since she's been besotted with him.
Keen to show her beau just how much he means to her, Tulisa was pictured on Saturday in the stands at St. James' Park.
On hand to support her boyfriend Danny Simpson as his team Newcastle United took on Manchester City, the 24-year-old was all smiles during the 90 minute match.
