Newcastle vs. Sunderland / Bolton vs. Liverpool (SPOILERS)

Re: Newcastle vs. Sunderland

Bruce has to be under some pressure. Sunderland are a bit like a mini-me of us, they have had massive investment for a "mid-table" club and surely their owners want them to be pushing for Europa League. Their bench was worth 35 mil today.

Now if only Newcastle can pull off one of these five-goal matches again against the likes of the scum then that would be amazing.

Re: Newcastle vs. Sunderland

Barton was quality today. From start to finish

Sunderland absolutely awful

Bolton vs. Liverpool in half an hour, will see if Liverpool really are turning it around after scraping past Blackburn (well... we couldn't do that) last week. Bolton are tough at home. Hopefully Torres gets stroppy and headbutts Gerrard, forcing a move away in January. ;)

Only we aren't in mid-table and we lost 2-1 not 5-1.

Re: Newcastle vs. Sunderland / Bolton vs. Liverpool

Why can't some teams roll over and die like Sunderland did today? It is not an excuse but why do teams seem to put in their 'performance of the season' against City so often?

I wasn't saying we're a mid-table team, I was putting it into context that they are like a mid-table version of us and while our target is top four, their's is surely a push for Europa League. They have spent tons of money on players.
