Take 10 minutes out and have a drink in Bannatyne Casino - tell them you know Andy Morris and if Duncan is in he will give you a meal and drinks FOC.

He owes me a favour or two.

I might just go up there for this meal.

Me too, looks Duncan's going to be dishing out a shit load of Freebie Meals and Drinks from now on

Newcastle has different areas, same as Manchester.

- I tend to go drinking around Central Station when i'm up there (Florita's, Perdu, Revolution).
- Don't go to the Gate, it's like the Printworks. Bigg Market is like going clubbing in a proper rough area in town with birds to match.
- Quayside is shite these days, and as overpriced as ever. But if you want to risk i then check out Chase, and Sea nightclub.
- Indie people need to head to the Academy (about 5 mins walk from Central Station) if it is on a Saturday night, the only indie night i know. It is called 'Bulletproof'. Bowie is on the playlist, probably better than what 42's and 5th Ave churn out these days. http://www.tokyoindustries.com/bulletproof/
- Haymarket if pubbing it (more towards St James Park).

This site tells you all you need to know.

Cheers mate, big help that.

Went to Newcastle away on Boxing day and stayed over! Absolutely quality night out and the folks were really friendly and up for a laugh. They have a china town in the centre which is good but not as big as Manchesters. All the bars and clubs in the city centre are all in close proximity. Tiger Tiger, Lloyds Bar and some underground dance and dubstep clubs. All in all a quality time had. The 3-1 result helped

Got a problem here!

My birthday is on Saturday 25th June and can't seem to find anywhere with rooms on that night, everywheres fully booked there must be something on!?

Need to find somewhere to book and quick time, don't want this to go tits up! :(

Loads on here, put in newcastle and the date your going, they do seem expensive, something must be on like you said.

Went for a stag do last month and we stopped at the Albatross. I'd post a link but I'm on my phone, just type it in on Google. It's slap bang in the centre of town so good location and was £45 for two night with 8 of us sharing a room. Can't remember where we went on the nights out but had a great time!

Decent advice this, OP. The Quayside has died on its watery, extortionate arse.

If you're after posher skirt have a look at Jesmond (5 mins away on a Metro). Full of student blart on daddy's money.

If you're staying in town and like your goths then pop into Trillian's for a Jillys-lite experience.

Above all, avoid the Bigg Market. It's shite.

The Albatross is half decent as mentioned above. Also try this lot: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.backpackersnewcastle.com/rooms.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.backpackersnewcastle.com/rooms.html</a>
