the legendary actor paul newman died last night. i am a big fan if there's any more newman fan's out there. what was your favorite film mine was cool hand luke.

The Sting is one of my faves. Great rapport between Newman and Redford.

Mr Newman and his foundation have done a lot of work for terminally-ill kids with his Barretstown camp.

Really hard to choose one film as a favourite. Nearly everything he did was quality.

But personally I'd go for Cool Hand Luke.

Great actor with a wonderful body of films to his name. He will be missed.

Two of my favourite films of his are two of his less heralded.

"Never give an Inch" adapted from Ken Kesey's book "Sometimes a great notion" Great film about family ties in a logging community. Also starred Henry Fonda and Chris Sarandon.

"Slap Shot" - Hilarous film where Newman plays a hockey coach brought in to revive the fortunes of a crap ice hockey team. The Hanson Brothers are just sooooo funny.
