News of the world (pile of sh*t) paper

The thing about Robinho is, I'm not entirely convinced he's 100% happy to be here, or that Mark Hughes is 100% happy about having him around, either.

The message behind all the good stories we've got in the papers recently is "City will back their manager and give him complete authority over his squad". Compare that to all the bad press we had earlier in the season, which can be summarised as "Some foreign moneybags want to buy a load of star names and use the club as a plaything". This came from the manner of robinho's signing and the bullshit spouted by Al-Fahim, and was given further credence when we went in for Kaka.

So we're saying that we will not buy players over the management's head, yet Robinho is still here, and the stories are coming out that he might be off if he doesnt like the look of the team for next season.

If, for these reasons, his presence is at all undermining to the management, then you can see the case for selling him, if he can be replaced by an Aguero or Ribery.

The counter argument is that ADUG may view his departure as a loss of face for them, or that it could be spun as a vote of no-confidence in the future of the club.
