Next 7 Games (Predictions/Expectations)

So 7 games in 4 competitions spread directly over a month. Now I know we have a big squad but what can we realistically expect over the next month?

I think this is the run that will define our season, in the league we have 2 away games at grounds we usually don't do too well at and 2 home games against title contenders. I think we need to beat Sunderland, take 4 points from our home games and at Liverpool we'll be lucky to get anything.
League Cup Final is a must win, gives us that boost going into the run in.
In Kiev we're all expecting a good result but it's a long way to travel, hostile place, i'd take a score draw or a narrow win obviously to set us up nicely for the home game.
Then I think for this run the FA Cup takes a back seat, I hate going out of competitions but this a hard run, i'd like to think our 2nd team could get the job done but it might be too much to ask, Chelsea will be travelling back from Paris so hopefully they'll be knackered but they have only got the cups to go for so they'll go all out for it I reckon.

I would sacrifice the fa cup to win the carling cup and overcome Kiev.
Beating liverpool at wembley would be amazing.
As for the prem? I'd take a loss at anfield for 9 points in the other 3 games.
Fancy another league and cup double this year.

If we could pull off those results it would be huge. I'd rather lose to Chelsea than draw though, the last thing we need is matches that aren't already on the schedule, unless of course they are ones getting us closer to Wembley....or Milan ;)
 
I'm very optimistic about this run of games. After we get the Sunderland game out of the way we get enough time between games to keep all the lads firing on all cylinders.

I would play a full strength team at Chelsea then rest a few in Kiev to make sure we're spot on for the LC final.

If we can beat Sunderland, Leicester and Spurs, which we should do, it gives us some margin for error at Anfield.

Chelsea - lose

Kyiv - draw

Liverpool cup final - win

Liverpool league - lose

Thats my honest opinion. I think we'll beat Kyiv at home though!
 
I can't see MP sacrificing the FA Cup. Firstly, you never want to give away a game to a long time rival like Chelsea. Secondly, if we lose the LC final, we will really regret tossing aside the FA Cup. Since we are realistically unlikely to win the CL, that would leave us betting the ranch on the league.

I can see a few being rested in the FA Cup, but even playing a little better under Hiddink, I would expect us to turn them over, although it may take a replay.
