would go with Barry or Kompany, Bellers as the right atitiude but forwards don't always see what's going on behind them. De Jong needs to be left to what he does best....growling and snarling at his enemy, doesn't always work out that your star destroyer makes a good captain, look what happened to Freddie Flintoff with England.......great player ruined by responsibility.

I normally like a defender for captain but I think it should be between Nigel de Jong or Shay Given.

I think De Jong may be most influential outfield player but Shay can view the whole pitch

Love Bellamy workrate but not a fan of forwards being a captain
