Not at all sure Zab will be a regular next season, so that probably rules him out.
If a high profile guy with the right credentials comes in, in the summer who knows.
But otherwise leave well alone for me.

Kompany's not ready for the role.

When he settles his game down, he'll be ideal, but not at the moment. He plays well more than he doesn't, but I don't think he's 'captain' material, right now. Zabs is more consistent and a better choice. He doesn't stop running, gees up his comrades and shows passion.

I'd like to see Neds with the armband in 5 years, but also think he'd make a great vice cap, if Zaba was the captain.

*btw, I don't mean next year. The season after.*

Mad Zab, as long as he continues to play defensive mid - although it pains me to write his name *spits on ground* he is our Roy Keane.

Kompany for me - natural leader and a good player, also midfield for me is the best place for a captain to influence the game

I know I've already had my say, but let me be more descriptive...

Zabs reminds me of one of those fabled sergeants, you hear of. Stood on a battlefield, chewing on a cigar whilst bombs are exploding around him. When you're shot in shoulder, he'll tell you 'It's just a scratch, P*ssy! Don't you let your squad down! You WILL fight!', before turning and leading the way...

A little colourful(!!), but I just don't get that 'do or die' mentality from Kompany. That's why I also like Neds. He has the 'Thou shalt not pass' attitude I like.
