whats the point in making kompany captain when hughes is looking to buy a replacement for him????????????????

well if hughes is after de jong,parker,palicios and with ireland, zabletta as well,who is he going to play in the midfield alongside kaka,is kompany going to end up on the bench,he could play centre back but its not his natural position,even if kaka doesn`t come irelands earned his place in cm and you wouldn`t pay £15 mill for de jong to stick him on the bench,so its ireland and one other!!!

if kaka comes this january i cant imagine him being made captain straight away. possibly next season he would be but i just cant see it happening this season (i fully realise such a bold assertion can and will be used against me when kaka comes and is immediately given the armband!)

I think that Kompany will replace Dunne as captain & as Centre Half, you say its not his
natural position but he looks a natural when he`s been asked to play there.

Kompany has to be captain against Newcastle, he organised the defence superbly after Dunne got sent off and is always one of our more passionate players.

Yes it is.
He had never played in the middle before he comes to City. Both in Anderlecht and Hambourg he plays in the center back...

in the derby hughes played him at cb for the first half and he was caught out a few times,hence in the second half he was moved back to cm.

Yes but leave him in his position, bring in a new CB and let Ned/Micah/Dunne/TBH fight over it with the last two looking over their shoulders to the summer window.
