Next Manager after Pep

Would you say Rodgers and Liverpool bottled it?

I would and not just once.

Rodgers is clearly very talented, a very good coach, but to me a managers personality is reflected in his team and for that reason I would not want Brenda anywhere near this club, he is the David Brent of Football.

I don't know if Liverpool bottled it but it was several years ago. I do recall thinking that Liverpool were on a long streak that was unsustainable and that they would drop points in the run-in so that a short winning run would seal it for City.

I''ll repeat that I'm not an advocate for BR and, hopefully, before Pep leaves us a stand-out replacement will emerge because I don't see one at the moment.

Yes. I think Pep does win the league with the liverpool squad. Leicester, no.

Pep is the gold standard for developing young players despite what some believe. Just because he hasn't sold Gundogan so McAtee gets to start doesn't mean he doesn't know what hes doing.

I think most of the credit for the players that Leicester have bought should go to their scouting and footballing director.

Who did then?

Hes finished 9th, 5th and 5th. How on earth could he possibly come in and takeover as Pep. We tear the rags apart for bringing in Moyes, this would be on the same level. "Done a good job with limited resources and made a challenge once so he deserves a shot".

It would genuinely be embarassing if we replace Pep with Rodgers.
Yeah, many people think doing good job in a limited resource club will do great job in a club with bigger resources. But they don't fully aware of the bigger resource clubs has much higher expectation and more pressure, and a wrong decision will cause more serious consequence.

It likes saying it would be easier to lead Google, Apple, Amazon comparing to managing a medium company!

It's either Ten Hag or Luis Enrique for me.

The way our first team plays all way down to youth team is like watching the same team that have dna like Ajax and Barcelona. Any major deviatiation from our style of play with incompatible coach such as Jose Mourinho for example will not be great.

Manchester City will become the third brand of Johan Cruffy style of play for the next decade, if we keep appointing former Barca and Ajax manager, coach and staff at this rate.

If the next guy can match Pellers record all is well and good. Apart from perhaps the CL I think Pep's record when he
leaves will be almost impossible to match. Indeed it may mark an end to the era of City as the team to beat.
Nah, always aim for the highest possible standard. Thats not struggling to qualify for top 4 and having lazy players running around the pitch. You don't need Pep for that not to happen.

Still remember Khaldoon absolutely fuming at 14/15 season in his post season interview. So "matching Pellers record is all well and good" is not true and rightly so.

Has anyone mentioned Patrick Viera yet? A bit under the radar
I know, and it's probably new manager bounce at Palace, but he has got them organised and hard to beat.
A good club for Patrick to gain experience with.
I always felt that he was being trained up to follow Pep.
City plan long term.
Could he be the man?
Got to nbe considered.
When City kept him on to gain his qualifications that thought cross my mind that he maybe being groomed as a future coach/manager.

Ten Hag looks good...in the Netherlands. He would be a big risk imo.
Luis Enrique seems like the better option by far of the two.
