Kompany or Ajax manager
I obviously missed the positive difference that made to our game on Saturday... Whatever Pep tried, we were still shit.
where did he say with or without me tonightI know what you’re getting at, and it has crossed my mind that his recents comments are in a way preparing us for acceptance of coming to terms with life after him, whether consciously intended that way or not. That comment tonight also. But, on the other hand, he’s just being realistic isn’t he?
I still suspect his pride and work ethic will see him complete his contract, but I guess you can never be 100% sure.
One of his post match clips on skywhere did he say with or without me tonight
i listed to why always us podcast yesterday and sam said players during renewals were assured he isnt done after 7 years so who knowsOne of his post match clips on sky
Sports mate, made a reference to it, can’t recall exact words.
where did he say that tonight, according to sam during these player negotiations last months they were assured hes not done after 7 years
Not a chance he’s leaving before his contract ends, he loves it here.
They still exist, one or two, and their heartbreak is directed at Pep. They wait, lurking in the shadows, emerging after rare defeats, waiting for the day when he and Txiki finally fulfil their prophesy and stop pissing them off by winning endless trophies. This post takes me back. They were a devout bunch on here back then weren’t they mate?
For a sad old fuck it probably is great fun. They still exist, one or two, and their heartbreak is directed at Pep. They certainly haven’t forgiven me either. It’s great fun.
Hopefully you’re right pal; I for one certainly don’t want him to leave.i listed to why always us podcast yesterday and sam said players during renewals were assured he isnt done after 7 years so who knows
Can I order through Amazon? :-)A tactical masterclass. They'll write volumes on it and the Pep cultists will queue up to buy it.
I’ve always thought he might leave if he wins the champions league. He will have basically finished the job. What keeps me hoping is that he’s not going to get another job as good as this one, with the finances, the infrastructure, his influence and his relationship with his bosses. But he’s bright and ambitious and a bit off-the-wall so you never know whether he might fancy a couple of years on easy street in international management so he can see more of his family and have a rest. It would feel like a travesty if he left without winning the Champions League though. We’ve been good enough for the last 3-4 years and for various reasons it hasn’t quite happened.Hopefully you’re right pal; I for one certainly don’t want him to leave.
I know he is. A flawed genius. We'll never have a better coach.Pep is a genius. You’ll realise this when he’s gone. You’re too spoilt to understand this at the moment
You've got a bit of brown on your nose, Chester....This post takes me back. They were a devout bunch on here back then weren’t they mate?
Yep, win the ECL this time, and he could go then (early), otherwise, something unexpected aside, I see him completing. I would guess personal circumstances would come into play even more so re a possible extension. I can definitely see an international job as a kind of ‘partial break’ after the intensity of the time with us.I’ve always thought he might leave if he wins the champions league. I'm not 'spoiled', just wise before the event. It's all downhill after he's gone. I just hope he doesn't do an Allison on us before he leaves.
Some amazing talent in that academy, I am sure he will want to be in charge when they are in the first team.I’ve always thought he might leave if he wins the champions league. I wrote this yesterdayI see Pep signing on again for a further 3 years
Very good point. Some amazing talent in that academy, I am sure he will want to be in charge when they are in the first team.
Ironically with hindsight you are now saying it was the right decision. Either way De bruyne not playing wasn't the problem. Tactics and slow build up with no end product was.No - wise AFTER the event. Pep probably knew KDB wasn’t ready for a full game v Southampton so gave him what he thought would not cause further damage, thinking he’d be ready for a full game last night. He can only do what’s best for the players. If he’d played 90 mins v Southampton we might be saying with hindsight that it was a stupid decision.
Great thing thus hindsight
