Why? Will United and Chelsea just stop being top teams? You do realise by their own standards them two have had poor seasons. Next season they will both be better. Liverpool will also be better, Arsenal need to be better, Spurs will even improve. We will have to buy and sell very very well. What if all teams improve to the same ratio and the positions are exactly the same as this season? Will that not be good enough?
Every place higher we want to finish will get harder and harder and harder. Estimating where we SHOULD be finishing on the basis that we've transferred Pounds Sterling and Euro Dollars signs with them squiggly lines we call numbers after them, over to other clubs bank accounts is a bit blind to be honest.
The number one aim next season will be to cement ourselves as a Champions Lg quifying team and doing well in a cup again. We will have a fair few horrendours performances next season, just like this season, but not as many. If it were ten this season it might be seven next season. It WILL happen!
But like I say above, let's concentrate on this season, in fact just Everton away for now!
I don't think there is a City fan anywhere that isn't concentrating on this season but the thread is about next season!
Personally, I would be happy with any position that gets us in to the Chumps but that isn't ambitious is it and if you think that our fantastically generous owner will not want to improve on where we finish this year then you need to think again!
I agree that the other teams will probably improve but there is no guarantee that they will just as there is none that we will either but I with my blind hope that we will would enjoy seeing us finish in the top 2 as would every other fan that uses this forum................exept maybe you?
