Next seasons home shirt (allegedly)

At the end of the day it's just a football shirt so I can't get too emotional about it. Having said that it is fucking atrocious. This was always going to happen when we were moved from Umbro, where we were a big fish in a relatively small pond, to Nike, where we're just another club. This new kit has clearly just been fed into the Nike shirt template with some "City colours" added, although not really City colours as even the main blue of the shirt is too dark for our traditional Sky Blue. Gone are the days of a bespoke shirt designed with City in mind, we might have mocked the "Bluemoon soundwave" Umbro came up with but at least it showed they were trying to be innovative and were coming up with something specifically tailored to Manchester City.

That's pretty much how I feel.

Anyone have any idea what colour they're going with on the shorts and socks?

This has really pissed me off grrrrr.

It'll be the first one my 9 year old doesn't get. Will wait to see what the second and third kits look like but if they're as crap he'll probably go for a Barcelona shirt. Tbf though he prefers the old badge as well and isn't impressed with the new one so what does he know.

I finally managed to get my hands on the shirt. Took some photos for you lads. I gotta say it made me feel a bit better after seeing the real thing. Not as bad as the photos.

i think it's smart, wouldn't really give a shit if we had bin bags on as long as we do the business. Find it a bit weird how people are so obsessive about kits.
