I wonder if they just have the one designer at Nike, hence every fucking kit they have brought out of late having the same boring template.

Understandable of course as small a company as they are. Ffs.

As much as we want to blame Nike someone at city has signed that colour combination off.
Could easily have gone with a different shade of sky blue and used the same template .if they wanted too

This is just my opinion mind you... But I think whether the shirt looks ugly or beautiful, we have to be proud to wear it and accept it. Sometimes the kit looks nice, sometimes it doesn't, but either way they are our club's kit. If the rags put out some amazingly beautiful kit, would you wear it? Definitely not I'd bet. As long as the kit doesn't have a picture of a pile of shit on it, I'd wear it proudly outside, to let people know that I support the team.

And this is exactly the reason city and Nike will serve up any old shit if people are prepared to hand over £60 for something they don't like
Why not wear a city top you like to let people know what team you support ?

Its called brand trending or some shit you see that design and dont need to see the tick to know its nike. Its a bit like getting a deal with Addidas and then getting pissed off with the 3 stipes on the sleeves and pretty much the same fucking kit year after year but being told its new when it clearly fucking is just a rehash of the same design you had the year before

At the end of the day it's just a football shirt so I can't get too emotional about it. Having said that it is fucking atrocious. This was always going to happen when we were moved from Umbro, where we were a big fish in a relatively small pond, to Nike, where we're just another club. This new kit has clearly just been fed into the Nike shirt template with some "City colours" added, although not really City colours as even the main blue of the shirt is too dark for our traditional Sky Blue. Gone are the days of a bespoke shirt designed with City in mind, we might have mocked the "Bluemoon soundwave" Umbro came up with but at least it showed they were trying to be innovative and were coming up with something specifically tailored to Manchester City.

I do get emotional about it, i think the core kit colours and order of them are what is seen first before the club badge or even club name. They should be a constant. Changing them and giving us navy sleeves, sky shorts and white socks is like calling us "Beswick City AFC" for a season just because that's what they're making loads of clubs are do at one time.

I finally managed to get my hands on the shirt. Took some photos for you lads. I gotta say it made me feel a bit better after seeing the real thing. Not as bad as the photos.

The kit is nice, it's not a shit kit, it's just not Manchester City Football Club.
