Can't help to think about the Neymar transfer and worry a little bit as it completely destroys anything that has been made before when it comes to transfers. What do you think will be the effects in the future, is it good or bad news for us? Are we seeing more regulations coming up?

In one way I like that PSG goes against the norm, and we get out of the spotlight a little bit, but how will we be able to compete in the long run? Will we do the same in the future?
 
Someone already said it best in the neymar thread.

Going forward we are now going to be called "teams like PSG & Man City" when the press are referring to PSG.
 
Rest assured we well be punished along with PSG for this. Probably more as we actually don`t have the superstar in our team and a the Cvnt Gill will be at the heart of it.

Go open a bottle of wine, wind down and chillax would be my advice. No point fretting about anything you cannot control
 
If we spend on Sanchez and Mbappe I guess we should be lumped in as the big spenders. But even if we don't we probably will be lumped in anyway. And if they come out with new rules maybe it'll be better to have bought beforehand. :-)

We are not getting Mbappe and Sanchez is still in the hands of Arsenal so chill.
 
This is Qatar getting back at Abu Dhabi over the GCC dispute.

They used to gain face through Camel racing now it's this and sky scrapers.

Lads in Denton did dick waving. Some still do.
 
Neymar is one of the top three players in the world and it's a transfer that has a couple of similarities
The two transfers I'm thinking of both involved Real Madrid as the buying club. Figo in 2000 for €60m and Zidane in 2001 for €77.5m

As for the Neymar transfer destroying anything that's gone before, these two transfers, when allowing for transfer inflation, must dwarf it
 
Where do PSG earn the money to pay this sort of fee are French TV deals better than the premier leagues,their league crowds aren't up there with the best do they have a good set of sponsors.

They have "sponsorship" with Qatar Tourism Authority for €100m a year that boosts their commercial revenue. Dodgy as hell.
 
If they sell a couple of players at the highly inflated fees we see these days, that could cover half the transfer fee. The transfer fee would be amortised over several years, so it would hit the accounts in stages rather than in one go.

There's also a rumour that Qatar will pay him his buy out clause fee with him agreeing to be an ambassador for that ridiculous world cup they are staging. Then he can just pay Barca and buy himself out of his contract and there'd be no fee for PSG to pay.
