Neymar

From twitter , not far from the truth

Neymar in Premier League.

PROS

✅ Generally an okay footballer.
✅ Amazing marketing value.
✅ Increased worldwide exposure for the league.

CONS

❌ Sister’s birthday is during the double matchday week.
❌ Would literally get murdered by Sean Dyche.

First pro alone is so wrong. Okay footballer ?

U are right tbf...I did copy paste from twitter....but even u would agree , that PSG have absolutely haven't got a return if investment on him
Of course. But it is not due to his level of plays but due to his long time injuries.
If he had put his injury record in the cons while aknowledging his football level, i wouldn't disagree (people will always meme about his sister birthday).

I mean, i'm not even a Neymar fan. The bastard should have seen red when he hit Marquinhos from the back during the robbery of Barcelona. However , i can't stand the false statements from people who don't even watch PSG nor Ligue 1 about his level. They are all raving about Mbappé but Neymar is twice the player at the moment.

Neymar is fucking quality( cut out the shit of course), I've said it before if he was still at barca and didn't have the cheek to leave for paris he wouldn't be getting half the shit, see raheem , an ok player my arse

Absolutely. He wasn't there a week when Barca loving media started with "he wants to come back stories. He is monstrously good football player, okay player is laughing line really.

Coutinho plus money for Neymar I've seen on twitter well suppose thats one way of getting Coutinho out there club.
Would be such a downgrade for PSG and upgrade for Barcelona.

Can't believe a level headed person would ever sanction such a move.

Pep wanted him at Bayern as his first signing, he's on the record as being a big fan. Also didn't TH say we had a bid on the table the season he left Barca?

I don't see us going for him, but if Sané did leave for £100m I guess you couldn't rule it out. He's the 2nd/3rd best player in the world and commercially he'd transform the club. 220 million followers on social media, he'd bring in more endorsement money than everyone else at the club combined, and would instantly become the face of the Premier League. When you're talking about 1 of the ~5 most recognisable athletes on the planet, completely worshipped by a country of 250m people and the 9th biggest economy in the world, wages kind of pale into insignificance vs. the brand growth and commercial growth that accompanies having him - especially for a club so keen to grow the brand like City.

The problem is the attitude though - not on the pitch, that's just amateur dramatics that Pep won't care about (Busquets and Pedro did worse under him at Barca). It's the commitment to being a football player 24/7 I think he lacks and Pep wouldn't tolerate, trips back to Brazil for his sister's birthday etc.

The injuries are becoming more regular as well, although part of that is to do with the french officials actually taking the piss with letting people hack the shit out of him - think 3 or 4x worse than the stuff that doesn't get called against us.

Personally don't see PSG letting him go.

I'm pretty sure that tweet was not intended to be a serious critique of Neymar. More a bit of a piss take.

Lighten up.

PSG like Chelsea seem to allow players direct access to the owner which then undermines the authority of the manager. You reap what you sow..

His return to Barcelona has been linked/rumoured since shortly after leaving for Paris - worst kept secret how much he misses the club & his old teammates. Grass isn't always greener, even if there's more green to be pocketed

Personally, his chapter at Barcelona is written & closed but this is Bartomeu's show atm. Very complicated return to pull off and I don't see a scenario where it can happen but these days you can never really rule anything out
