NFL 2024-25

Watching on TV. Some fucking stadium that, have a great time, went to see Patriots vs Dolphins some years ago now. It was a great day out
Yep, 100,000 seats and thousands more standing tickets. Very impressive place. Seats were like $300 or more so had the $40 standing tickets that have nowhere to stand so jibbed some seats. Had to move a couple of times but it was ok.
Tons of Lions fans there!!
Yes loads. Quite surprised to see so many. Thought away fans don’t travel much.
What snacks will you be getting?
Probably no shortage of choices
First time at an NFL game and it was like an eating competition for 100,000 people with a game going on in the background for about a quarter of the time with the rest of the time showing adverts on the big screens. Can’t believe how much food people were getting.

It was an experience. Worth seeing but not something I’m likely to do again. Got the impression from talking to a few non-locals that the Cowboys are like the rags of NFL. Loads of support but hated by most people and a bit shit, so good to see them get battered.

Why are the Cowboys so shit despite being apparently the wealthiest team in world sport?

As we've seen in this country over the last 10 years. Having money doesn't equate to success. It's the backroom team they employ and how well the recruitment goes in the summer. The draft in the NFL is far more of a lottery than our transfer market as well. You've got kids who have never played at the top level coming in and could be absolutely shite. There's a massive leap between College and Pro football.

Or they have Eddy Wooward in charge.

All those wannabe Yanks in the crowd at Spurs. Giving it the high fives etc.

By the way; it's "Jag-you-er", not "Jag-war".

You're welcome. Just happy to help.

I was there for the game. There were plenty of Yanks in attendance based on those on the trains and in the pubs, beer queues at the stadium, stands etc.. Felt there were more Americans than British.

Fair enough, I stand corrected. I'm assuming that there weren't too many from the working class areas of Chicago or Jacksonville at the game? That would be an expensive trip.

I have no doubt you are correct. Well, US wages have seemingly risen much more than ours over the last decade or so. Expensive but may be not as expensive as it would be for us going over there.

I would suggest a fair number live over here.

Being referred to as 'America's Team' probably doesn't help. As fans of sports teams, we all like to think ours is the best, most special etc.. I would expect it riles some.

As a few have said, great to see the Cowboys get battered. Detroit are the team i generally follow as well so that makes it even better.

Out of interest, what team do others follow. Interested to see if there is a majority.

We're Ravens fans - mostly because my son, who is the kicker for his high school team, wants to be the next Justin Tucker haha.
