N'Golo Kante

Letting this guy go somewhere else will cost us big-time.
Anyway France are on the box tomorrow so you can all watch Ngolo Kante's amazing passing from a holding position.

With his release clause we have to be seriously considering this guy. Might not be 100% Pep player but the Premier League is a new challenge and you need someone like him (so why not get the best version)

Thought he was great again tonight.
He is so consistent.
Great defensively - took a yellow for the one and only time an Albanian could have done something,
Passed the ball through the first Albanian defensive line time without number - sadly folks didn't do owt with it.
Set up a few in the box too, but carelessness cost especially the ball to Pogba when he slipped just before hitting it goal wards in acres of space.

Can we dispell the narrative that he can't pass or isn't a pep player? He was the best player on the pitch again. Hope the links to him are legit and we make a hard push for him.

Kante is boss. Back then I always thought he's just a headless chicken running around but now I'm a convert. Having Kante would lessen Gundogan's responsibility on the defensive side.

Once again IMO (and in the opinion of L'Equipe) he was France's best player. My gast will be flabbered if it turns out that we are not seriously trying to sign him. The perfect compliment to Gundo and upgrades Fernando and Fernandinho in one signing. And a relatively cheap signing as well all things considered.

Would rather play with 10 men with him in the middle then have Delph and fernando in the middle together .
Must signing

There was a moment late on when I realised he is a 'must have' for us.
He played a lovely chip over the top and then moments later (after the move broke down) he's committing a foul as Albania broke. Taking one for the team.
Still riles me that Kolarov let that Diouf guy run passed him to score for Stoke!

After he last two matches for France I'm starting to believe the hype... What's particularly impressed me is how he is always looking to play an quick attacking ball forward after he wins it back rather than slowing things down and looking to hand the ball off to one of the more 'creative' player. Could be a real asset for the squad if available for a reasonable price

He's a damn good player but is he better than Fernandinho? Personally I don't think he is, close but not better in my opinion. He's light years away from a fully fit Gundogan from what I've seen so far. If we are going to play with just a three man central midfield then I believe the other player with Fernandinho and Gundogan will be an attacking, goal scoring midfielder like De Bruyne.

Kante wouldn't improve the first XI in my eyes, the squad definitely but we've had enough of those types of signings in the last few seasons in the likes of Fernando and Delph.

Just from an age standpoint Kante already wins. He's 25. Like it or not age is also catching up with Dinho, he gets tired often at the end of the games. We both know Dinho is only as good as his engine. Not to mention Kante is a better defensive player than Dinho although Dinho is better offensively.
