Wasted a few quid years ago on his fucking book, twat slagged us off rotten.

He is no different to any other so called pundit in that he spends 90 mins, finding a negative, trying to sound knowledgeable, telling us all how that was a yellow or red card and how the player is lucky and finally, just being annoyingly shit and spoiling the game.

he spent an equal amount of time at Arsenil, City and Sunderland and clearly has affection for all but probably the mackems most given his subsequent involvement with them
I remember Big Niall's time with City with great affection. He's a true gent off the field too. Recommend his autobiography too. The story of his exploits with Mcmahon is hilarious.

Quinn's commentary was certainly myopic, so he obviously regards his days at Arsenal more favourably than those at City.
I can only assume the time spent at The Salutation (30 pints of Guinnness per sesh!) have taken their toll on our Niall.
I talked with him on numerous occasions during his time at City and only found him to be a top bloke, though I know he was gutted at the way the club treated him when he was injured and (at the time) didn't want the transfer to Sunderland, so maybe he has an axe to grind.

Slightly off topic but thank your lucky stars
I watched the first half on Sky and the bias in commentary was horrendous but at least Sounness and Redknapp were fair despite the efforts of the presenter
But I had to drive home so I was listening to 5Live for the second half and the anti city agenda there was unreal from Marting Keown and the commentators who was introduced as the Former England player with no mention of his ties to Arsenal

His axe that needs grinding is with the dead Peter Swales and others who ran the club, nt us fans who followed him and his team mates all over the country and sang his name constantly.

I think some of you are missing the point. It is irrelevant that he played for us or whether he has backed or slated us over the years.
The point is that regardless of who the teams were the commentating today was abysmal and clearly Quinn was following a pattern. Someone needs to smack him in the face and tell him that SKY TV and entertainment do not come into the ref's mind when he makes a decision. He does not give a fuck what the SKY audience might think of the game.
Parry was just as bad though. What the hell was that shit that came out, it would be better if in that situation the player remained on the pitch until after the pen was taken. If it was scored, the player remains on the pitch but if it is missed then he is sent off. The most absurd thing I've ever heard!
And they were talking about how a penalty is enough in that situation? Well for one pens can be missed and two if it was only a pen and no red card then defenders would wipe out strikers everything single time they had a clear cut chance.
Honestly, when you watch other sports and you hear how intelligent the people are and how well they understand their sport it is amazing to hear so many thick as pig shit commentators, pundits, journalists etc. It's nothing to do with agenda it's just idiots. All they want to do is sell papers or appease the audience. On days like today they want it to be a 'Super Sunday' but after the red card they wanted to make it as interesting as possible by talking about whether or not it was a red or whether the rules should be changed etc. Just utter bollox.
