Guidetti at Feyenoord, Emyr Huws at Birmingham and Karim Rekik at PSV spring to mind. Also Marcos Lopes and Jason Denayer are impressing in their current spells.
not at all sure about the first three examples and the jury is still definitely out on the other two.

Guidetti at Feyenoord was certainly successful, 20 goals and eight assists in 23 games and the fans started a petition to buy him for the next season, we had the likes of Juve sniffing around before his injury. Incredibly unfortunate but his reputation had gone through the roof. Huws got his first senior Wales call up while at Birmingham, got their goal of the season award and generally did well for the club, I'd say reputation certainly enhanced. Rekik? Not a 100% on that one, he's done alright and is getting picked regularly? Almost made the dutch world cup squad too so can't be doing terribly.

As for Lopes and Den, far too early to tell but they doing well enough so far.

Jason Denayer's rep is definitely increasing and already has in such a short time, Lopes already has the Lille fans chanting his name and he has spent more than a month of his first 4 injured so I think its safe to say come the end of the season they will have.

next step for a lot of these should be a loan to a PL or La liga lower to mid table club. I don't think League 1 or championship level loans are necessarily indicative of PL quality.
Think newly promoted clubs might be interested. I really think Denayor needs a PL loan to fast track him to the first team

The problem is making sure they get games. Rekik, Denayer for instance may not be playing at the highest level, but they are playing at the top of their leagues & in Europe.

It would be better for them to play at a higher level, but not if they were sat on the bench.

Denayer is going so well, it's not impossible he could be at City next season though, if he continues to improve at this rate. Outside chance.

From the 'western Gazette' - a bit harsh?

GARY Johnson accepted that he had run out of attacking options at Yeovil Town and admitted Manchester City loanee Jordy Hiwula cost them victory versus Fleetwood Town.

The Glovers were comfortably the better team for large stretches against the Fylde Coast outfit but were hit by a sucker punch with just minutes remaining.

The North West side left South Somerset with three points thanks to Jeff Hughes’ header when the hosts should easily have cantered to victory.

Hiwula was Yeovil’s biggest culprit in front of goal and Johnson said: “It’s a youth thing, it’s experience. It’s part of his learning but we can’t use that inexperience forever.

“He got his goal last week, he’s definitely getting the opportunities. I’m sure he will have a great career eventually and this will be a great learning curve for him but it cost us the game, along with a couple of shots from our midfielders.

“Goals win games, mistakes lose games. That’s exactly what happened today.”

Having bolstered Yeovil’s defence with Aston Villa keeper Jed Steer, Coventry City full back Jordan Clarke and Fulham defender Stephen Arthurworrey, Johnson was well aware that a misfiring front line was exactly where he needed to strengthen. “It’s pretty obvious at the moment,” he said.

“We have got to look at all of our previous people that we have had a look at, and then it’s the timing and then who’s available.

“Are they available at the right price and at the right time? We may not be able to do that.

“But at the same time at least we have got 90 per cent of our game going and then it’s a matter of not switching off, letting on and making sure that you find that killer touch.

“It’s that killer touch instinct and first touch finish, that header that goes ‘bang’, the volley that hits the back of the net – that’s what we’re missing.”

Whether he cost them the game or not, that kind of criticism is fine from us lot on here, but from a manager to say that about a kid in public, one of his own players, it's nothing short of disgraceful.

We should bring him back.

That's my thinking Nev,the ungrateful tosser.

Jordi will be devastated by such criticism and blame, thats huge for a kid attempting to make his way in the game.

He's protecting his own arse by blaming a kid for his team not winning.

Really really low.

There's a preview of the match from the same source here :- http://www.westerngazette.co.uk/PRE...eetwood-Town/story-24528441-detail/story.html

MANCHESTER City striker Jordy Hiwula has been encouraged to get used to scoring goals at Yeovil Town having netted four in two games.

The lively striker ended a seven-game wait for his maiden Glovers’ strike against Crawley Town in the FA Cup last week, going on to drill a second half hat-trick in Tuesday’s Somerset Premier Cup drubbing of Hengrove Athletic.

With Hiwula’s shooting boots now well and truly laced, manager Gary Johnson hoped it was time for the former England youth international to repay Yeovil’s extended faith.

“Jordy scored against Crawley and that got that problem off his back,” said the boss. “He got three the other night and he’s got to carry on with that scoring feeling he’s got with us to get prolific with us.”

Johnson continued: “We kept faith in him. We didn’t play him in one game because we were going to play just Kieffer Moore up front but it wasn’t long before he came on so he hasn’t missed many minutes.

“We kept picking him in the hope that his game would come out as his personality and his character is exactly what we want.

“I wouldn’t say he was bubbly and lifting everyone – he’s quiet, but he’s focused and listens. Despite coming from Manchester City he gets what we’re trying to do with him and how we’re trying to help him.”

Fellow forward Kieffer Moore (hamstring) will miss today’s Sky Bet League One clash with Fleetwood Town, with Johnson warning the towering front man faces an extended spell on the sidelines.

“He’s been struggling for fitness through the season, it’s difficult for him to play two games on the trot,” said the manager.

“We’re looking to clear up his injury first and the get him to a professional fitness. It’s not that at the moment because he breaks down quite regularly. We won’t be seeing him for a little bit.”
Perhaps I'm reading too much in to the highlighted quote but if their big centre forward didn't play are they putting all the pressure on to just a 20 year old inexperienced kid?
