Nice restaurants in Manchester?

Zouk is good for Indian.
Fadenza is amazing meat feast.
San Carlo is cliche but an experience.
Don Marco very nice.
Ruddy’s great authentic pizza but very hipster.,
Evuna NQ & El Gato Negro both mentioned and very good.
Try Thai was fantastic, not been for a year or so..
Bar San Juan in Chorlton is as authentic a tapas as you get outside of Spain.

Mackie Mayor in the NQ is a very hip food hall.
Cottonopolis is very good Asian fusion food.

There’s a new Scandinavian restaurant in NQ supposed to be excellent.

Abdul’s is still king of the kebabs for me.

Hawksmoor on Deansgate is a great looking restaurant with very good food.

Don Marco on Liverpool road very good also

Anyone been to Pep's restaurant?
Yes
Good without being great . Worth a visit IMHO but there are better .
Also , next door to Dishoom is Masons , also very good and with 50 % off in January, I’d wholeheartedly recommend the place . Enjoyed it so much the first time out that I’m back with friends in a week or so .

I popped in there for a drink only before going around the corner to La Bandera (which is good). Sadly I won’t be going there to eat, the menu is far too fishy for me and the place just seems too clinical with little atmosphere, it felt like I was in an ultra modern Swedish canteen. Hope they do well, just not for me.

Anyone been to Alston bar and beef? Is it any good. Got a £50 voucher for there from that Manchester confidential app

Cheers, will have a look at Masons as I'm on the lookout for a valentine's day place.

I may sound a bit of a cheap skate here but I usually book something through groupon, you can save quite a few quid and gives you ideas of different restaurants/cuisines to try. Last Saturday we had a 3 course meal for 2 with wine/Prosecco at the podium in the Hilton, all for £41.

Best burger place in Manchester is SoLIta
https://solita.co.uk

Try the Big Manc
Agree with this.
Indian - Indian plaza audenshaw. Heard good things about amaani in Ashton which has been mentioned.
Chinese - rice bowl in town
Fish n chips - the dolphin in reddish is good. It’s a chippy but has a sit in part. Other than that I’d google a decent Cheshire countryside

Loads of tips still droppin in :D thanks a lot guys. Unfortunately I won't be able to stay for more than a few days. I've decided on Don Marco at least, looks great. And I saw this place with burgers and some sort of springroll-like cheeseburger. Looked like heaven :D

Indique in west didsbury trumps them all for a ruby, bit out of town though. Likewise bun and bones club which is a good half hour away on a 192 bus but makes all the other burgers in the city look like crap. Fazenda is a favourite in town but dont go in unless you're really hungry. Vapiano for italian dishes, pretty casual, very tasty.
