Otamendi is a fine player and has been a great servant to this club.

Just one red card in his City career (compare with VK). He's good in the air, good on his feet, a good tackler, fearless, a goal threat, no slouch, dependable, is rarely injured. He combines well with other players. He never complains about anything, and he maintains a low media profile. He's a proper team player, and appears to be popular amongst the staff.

Really, what's not to like?

Short sleeves and gloves?

Agree with every word by the way.

When you put it like that :)

If city get a good price and we get a younger ball playing CB...I am all for it

I love his ability to win tackles so consistently playing as aggressively as he does.

If you had told me one of our centre backs would get MofM before the game i would have been amused , it was a war when Brighton got some set pieces and the General didnt let us down , superb performance.

Was actually impressed with him tonight. When we need to sit back and defend he's so incredibly reliable.

Apart from the 4 or 5 free kicks he gave away within crossing/shooting distances for their best players....
He was 6/10. Typical Emendation. Good to solid at times but has brain-dead moments which can cost teams, particularly at this level
