Surely I am not the only one who thinks this woman gets an easy ride in the media. She is openly discriminatory against English people, you could say racist in her government's treatment of English students charging them for tuitition fees when every other country in the EU gets free tuition in Scotland. Her country is propped up financially by the UK with the heavilly subsidised block grant yet she continually blames everybody else south of the border for her own financial problems. She has the cheek to criticise May for trying to cheery pick the best brexit deal for the UK saying she wants to remain part of the customs union while she wants independence for Scotland but maintaining the UK pound amongst other things. I find her a total hypocrite. Blair's devolution poured petrol on the flames of nasty far right racist scottish nationlism which is represented by this awful woman, who gets far to much air time.

If the UK Govt devolved education to the Scottish Govt ( not sure whether they did or didn't at the time of writing ) then I assume they have the freedom to make policy? I'd imagine if the racist policy accusation had any grounds it would have been challenged in the courts by now? I further presume that to gain massively in Scotland that Ruth Davidson didn't stand on a platform of introducing £9k pa fees for Scottish students nor indeed offering to level the paying field by letting our sassenach students join their student ranks and not paying fees?

It’s not racism as we’re the same race as them but it is discriminatory.

The SNP are propped up by the anti-English sentiment in Scotland and a nationalist party is a nationalist party no matter what cloak they’re wearing.

Isn't excluding English students purely because they are English racist? If the UK were to adopt the same policy with regards to Indian students coming here to study I am pretty sure everyman and his dog would be labelling that policy racist.

She certainly makes the most of the air time she gets. Which is entirely disproportionate to the % of the vote the SNP got. But as far as running a country I understand that despite having a much bigger budget than the rest of the UK she is making a pigs ear it.

I don't know enough about Scottish politics to comment to be honest, is she really tanking the country?
