Don’t disagree that he looked fine after the Derby. But if you had the same level of talent as he does, would you want to be sat on the bench ? I hope to god we can keep him as he already is an amazing player and will only get better, but it will rely on him getting more opportunities.

Ok fair enough, but he really did look pretty pissed off today.

Appreciated the way he came off the bench to celebrate when Sergio scored.

Been a good servant and had a very strong season last year.

Don't blame him for wanting to move on. He's too good to be 3rd/4th choice and can think of big clubs where he would get more games.

The writing was on the wall as soon as we signed Laporte. Let's be honest.

Absolutely agree and I was slated for saying its time to move him on here not so long ago. We need some fresh blood at the back with Vinny at the arse end of his career, maybe its time for Garcia to step up ? But its more than likely that we bring someone in to replace the General.

It’s not about people turning on him, it’s the fact that he doesn’t play, and he’s one of the best young players in the world who needs to be playing. I hope we don’t sell him, but I think he’ll want to go
 
Been a great signing for us and will go with our best wishes. Can’t blame him for one last good move.
 
I wonder if Barca could consider letting us trade him with Umtiti?

Don’t know if Pep rates Umtiti but it could be a good move for all parties. Otta has played in la liga before and Umtiti would be a good, younger replacement

Would umtiti fancy competing Laporte? I know Deschamps prefers him but if he lost that battle he's probably also out of the national team. I doubt there's even a problem with Umtiti at Barca, just after a better contract.

Signing a young CB would ruin either Garcias or Harwood-Bellis` pathway to the first team
