No Agenda - Mick Dennis

In all honesty, I can imagine him laughing his bollocks off as he wrote it thinking to himself:

"this'll get 'em frothing! The boss is gonna love me for generating all that lovely interest in the paper."

The guy's clearly a grade A prick, don't give him the oxygen of publicity by responding. Save your responses for when you see these fucjets at the ground.

Honest error!? that's the bit I doubt, the problem with the referees at the moment is they are looking for any reason to punish one of our players and then some c*ck and bull story is concocted to justify it.

This is my big problem at the moment that referees are jumping on any indiscretion to the extent that they are always looking for opportunities to book, send off or give penalties against our players.

Frankly, it is getting ridiculous now and it seems that they're not even trying to hide it anymore.

Met a pal last night (baggies fan) who totally unprompted said he thought the ref was biased against us against Liverpool - for a neutral to say that goes to show how overt the bias is becoming.

And City just seem to be accepting it. If the same thing happened to the scum the drunken tramp would be straight onto the FA.

But what can they do !? They're damned if they do and damned if they don't.

They might be doing stuff behind the scenes but if they went public you could imagine the might of the media jumping on City calling us all the names under the sun for daring to criticise the referees, bad losers etc etc.

To me this is the most important aspect of what seems to be taking place at the moment. Its the reason why I'm loathe to imagine theres any agenda against City. Having an agenda suggests pro active behaviour and specific and intentional action. I feel its more subtle than that, however, none the less real.

I believe its a mindset, a perception if you like, that referees, the press and the FA alike dont fear any repercussion by sleighting our players or staff. The rags, to a man from baconchops down have built up a culture of expectatation and entitlement over decades. The actions they have and continue to take instills a mindset of cautious approach by the aforementioned parties.

We need to follow suit. If we are to benefit from a level playing field we must get tougher. Before a referee steps on to the pitch where were playing he needs to be thinking, fuck I better get this right. Before a hack opens a new word document he needs to be thinking Christ I dont fancy the repurcussions if I do a hatchet job. Before the FA scours the media for their latest victim they need to be thinking of the shit storm they will stir up if they dont show us parity of esteem. If we manage to achieve this I believe any talk of an agenda will decrease rapidly.

I just sent him the e-mail below;

Hi Mick,

Nice hatrick this week, hatrick of Anti-Manchester City stories.

It's pretty sad that you let your obvious hatred of Manchester City get in the way of a professional approach to unbiased journalism

You're on the list!

I don't anticipate a response.

Did you get one? In my experience, although he is a blinkered twat,he does respond.

He does the paper review on Sky Sports News every Thursday. The other week he turned up with an FA Rule Book with him to explain tackling. He's takes 5 minutes to say what the rest of us say in 30 seconds and because he does some sunday league refereeing he defends referees all the time. Which gets tedious.

i just e-mailed him and he replied within five minutes.in answer to one of my questions he said he PROBABLY wouldnt mind if they inherited the same wealth as us,but it doesnt mean it would be good for football in general.

Answered your questions did he? To me he implies I'm unstable and that I need mental help.

If he replies, I'd put money on him mentioning he's a qualified ref. He mentions that fact roughly once every 27 minutes.

So much paranoia on here. It looked like a stone wall penalty in real time, honest mistake.
End of.

quiet riot,he answered them, but it felt like he was still having a go, and talking down to me as if i was a ten year old.suppose thats why hes a journalist !!
