Supporter Services. The steward asked me to attend the ticket office with the team sheet, or scan it in and email to get the points added. Here's the email they sent me...

"Thank you for your email, I apologise for the delayed response.

Unfortunately we no longer award any loyalty points for attending the EDS fixtures so I will be unable to add on any extra loyalty points for you. I can only apologise the MCFC stewards have advised you that we can do this I will pass this information on to make sure they are aware of the correct information.

If you have any further questions/queries please feel free to reply to this email or alternatively call our supporter services team on 0161 444 1894.

Thank you for your continued support."

Hmmmmm not sure then I met up with the girl who runs The EDS and it was something that was still on the agenda, maybe the club have over-ruled it? I'll let you know as soon as mate! U there tonight?

Re: No more EDS loyalty points

I dunno yet mate, got stuff on. I'll pm you the name who sent me the email at SS.

-- Tue Aug 30, 2011 1:53 pm --

Ok, just to confirm, Danny has spoken to a friend of a friend at the club who confirms that there WILL be 5 points as per the OS for attending tonight's game vs Burnley.

I've emailed supporter services back to see what they say about long term plans, and why the Oldham points were rejected.

How are ya, brother!

Attending MCFC matches doesn't make you loyal.

Buying a load of tat, paying money for points and subscribing to bullshit E magazines shows much more interest in football and commitment.

Stop moaning.

was at the tkt office 1hour ago with the team sheet from the oldham game they told me it was not needed no loyalty points for the eds games any more.

Talking of the EDS,has anyone managed to buy tickets for the NextGen game vs Barca online? The game isn't showing up at all for me.

Needs clarifying. The MCFC staffer that is there to oversee the EDS games has confirmed 100% to Danny that loyalty points are still very much part of EDS games and 5 points will be given for tonight vs Burnley.

I've emailed supporter services and will let people know when I get a response (probably by the end of the week, sounds like they are very busy on emails).

This has come from the person who runs the whole EDS set up....

"Right, as background on this – I did get told last week (after the Oldham game) that we wouldn't be awarding 5 loyalty points for EDS games – I have fought this and now we are!
I don't really know the reasoning behind it, but I think it was more of a confusion in regards to the new membership/loyalty points scheme. If people come tonight and take a teamsheet (the original) then they can hand this in at CityStore or email it in and they definitely will be credited the 5 points from now...."

Hopefully that'll clear it up! :o)

Thanks for clarifying, but it was clearly better when you just took your card down and they scanned it and the points were awarded automatically. Now you either need an extra trip to the ticket office or a scanner before being awarded 5 points.

Danny, make sure they know to have enough team sheets as they run out at Oldham and had to give out photocopies. Don't want fans getting given photocopies, they trek in to claim their points to be told that they are only accepting originals.

Christ knows why its such a big deal getting 5 loyalty points, go and support the lads by all means, but it seems some are only going for a couple of loyalty points and to get on camera.

-- Tue Aug 30, 2011 4:54 pm --

Your getting rather tiresome now. and you've been proven wrong again, as they will receive points.
