No need for all the abuse

I agree with this wholeheartedly, we need to remember that all the moves are being made by Joorabchian NOT Tevez.

Don't be so naive! Carlos Tevez is a grown man, he is not a special needs person, he does not need a guardian, he is not stupid, he is not innocent!

I agree, and just to quote tevez

"I hugely resent the management's suggestions that I have been unduly influenced by others"

I hugely resent the management's suggestions that I have been unduly influenced by others," Tevez continued.

"I wanted to leave in the summer, but was convinced to return to the club. Sadly, my feelings have not changed.

"I am disappointed that the management should now see fit to try to portray the situation in another light.

"My relationship with certain executives and individuals at the club has broken down and is now beyond repair.

"I do not wish to expand on this at this stage. They know, because I have told them.""

Have read loads of really good threads and posts on here today and was delighted with the insight and balance shown. I was proud of the fans.

But increasingly there seem to be more abusive threads and I think it makes us look like the rags looked at the time of the Rooney affair. It adds nothing. Let's not sink to their level.

As I have said elsewhere, we should trust the club to do exactly the right thing here and remember that the balance of power is now with MCFC, not Tevez. This club is joint top of the league and is on the up. Tevez will be history shortly.

I guess the thing that Tevez has been guilty of is wanting more money presumerably because other players have come in on more money and no doubt he feels he should be the best paid player.

As I've stated on another thread his relationship with Mancini has been protected (which indicates to me leaving the door open for him to continue playing and possibly staying) and as long as he keeps giving his all on the pitch then he will retain my (although much less passionate) support.

Tevez IS the highest paid player here, the official statement made that clear. So it's nothing to do with wanting to be on level terms with anyone. Looks like Tevez and Joorabchian have decided they want new flashy cars and that getting Tevez a new contract is the easiest way of doing that. However, the club have stuck to their guns about no contract negotiations mid-season and Tevez has seen his arse, claimed a falling out with Garry Cook who negotiates these things, thrown his toys out of the pram and gone off sulking.

This is only my take on things having had 24hrs to mull over the events though, but it seems to fit!

mate normally i would agree we shouldnt slag off our players (check out citymancs if you want some serious mancini/player abuse) but in this case fuck him he aint innocent and has any club (or coach for that matter) bent over backwards more for any player than we have for this chump!

Hold him to his contract (he wont buy it out)/sit him in the reserves if he doesnt play well/sell him for top dollar if we can (mind you who would take him on with his record of throwing toys and the argie peso aint going to cut it)/get a replacement in who is commited to MCFC!

All I've heard on the radio tonight is: "Tevez's statement is going to be incendiary" "This is an all out war" "He'll never wear a City shirt again"

They've all been sucked in, and going to make themselves look ridiculous, just like they were with Rooney. Let's not fall for it. This is a negotiation. Don't start taking it personally and throwing insults & threats around. The door has been left wide open for a compromise by both sides. My bet is a deal for him to stay until the end of this season/end of next (which is probably EXACTLY how long would have stayed anyway) and doing a Bellamy-esque wages deal for him to go home to Boca.
