Nobody on this forum has any idea, no more than the rest of us. Nobody is an ITK, they simply predict what will happen, and people occasionally get things right. People constantly go on about a certain poster on here, one who has thrown his toys out of the pram several times saying he wont return, but always does just for the buzz.

Can someone please tell me if someone really was ITK, and knew something, apart from boosting their ego, what do they gain from it by posting on a public forum, jeopardising their contact and possibly other things?

You may have attracted a bit of stick a year ago for questioning the so called ITKs on here. However I think you have hit the nail on the head.

And due to the Isco fiasco I think most people on here have finally woken up and smelt the coffee.

How would you have known about the Isco deal if it were not for the ITK's on here, if what you are saying is true we never have been in for him I have never seen mention of an official bid from City or any statement, all the press reports I saw seemed to be gleamed from this forum (yes they do visit)

Are you being serious? So you think that the only place in the world to know about City being interested in Isco was Bluemoon forum, and that the press only got wind of it from browsing on here?

No that is not what I am saying, however the interest in Isco stretches back well beyond the current saga and where was it mentioned?

Here of course never in the press at the time, but a lot of information was posted on here, I know for a fact that some people do pick up bits and bobs from the club, some of it does not come of its a complex buisiness, but some stuff does come off

There seem to be a lot of needy posters on here these days, and their definition of ITK is black and white. You're either privy to every aspect of our transfer activity, or you know nothing and are just desperately seeking attention but obviously things are never that clearcut.

There are a few out and out WUMs on here, of course, but we tend to deal with those quickly. Others have good contacts and get snippets of news, but things don't always materialise because transfers at this level are complex. Also, City are a far tighter run ship these days, so leaks are increasingly infrequent.

Not that the baying mob accept that. "But you said we would sign X, and it never happened", they wail. I've had it myself. I was told by a senior first team player (at the time) that we were signing Joleon Lescott in January 2009. I posted it on here and got a fair bit of grief when it didn't materialise, even though Lescott subsequently signed the following transfer window.

Ah well. If you're going to throw your toys out of the pram when stuff people posted doesn't happen then it's probably best to stay away from the transfer forum for your own sanity. No one is forcing you to read the threads.

Exactly. People on here thinking that a certain poster is Player X's agent, or player Y's brother etc, is complete nonsense. People get hold of "snippets" of info and that's all they are, people should stop taking what people say as complete gospel, and instead take it with a pinch of salt. I still stand by what I said earlier though about a certain poster. Posting YouTube video clips is completely ridiculous and it covers a wide spectrum of bases. Attention seeking and ego boosting at the highest, and I cant believe that people still fall for it.

I personally enjoy the 'snippets' of information and take none of it too seriously.

I spend far more time reading Bluemoon, than posting, but it is always entertaining.

Anyone think that Pellegrini might pull a so called rabbit out of the hat and bring someone in from La liga that is pretty much unheard of and might, well I hope, do a good job from us?

For me the transfer forum is definitely more exciting and more addictive when the ITK's post. They also most likely hear things from a City perspective only, so players making positive noises to several clubs. An non city fan like spursmad was reliable as he heard independent snippets, but it seems like leaks are being plugged.
