MANCHESTER CITY have been warned copying Chelsea's big spending will not guarantee success.
The megabucks Eastlands club have already splashed out £80million on players this summer. And their spending spree is reminiscent of Roman Abramovich's first few weeks in charge at Stamford Bridge.
But having failed in their bid to sign John Terry, the Blues skipper insisted money is not the simple answer to silverware.
He said: "What happened at Chelsea a few years ago is pretty similar to what Man City are trying to do now.
"If you say to Man City in four or five years time they would be in Chelsea's position I am sure they would bite people's hands off.
"But it's not just about money. It takes a lot of hard work to do that."
Does he actually get paid for this crap! Basics son, basics.
