Yet again a United game turns on a crucial decision, whether it's letting Neville off red cards, not giving stonewall penalties or allowing Nani to kick a stationary ball into the net - I'm losing count of the amount of times this has happened this season.

I'm not naive enough to think United are where they are purely due to referees, they are a very good side, but it has happened too often for too long.

In the second half Walton's performance totally shifted from impartial to biased, from the booking of Adam to individual freekicks to the blatant pen decision. Webb did the same vs Liverpool. Dowd did it last March. Clattenburg vs Spurs and the Nani fiasco. Marriner let Neville off a blatant red. They haven't lost with Walton in charge.

Google 'Walton paid off' - a fulham fan has documented several dodgy United decisions which turned games around.

It runs deeper than simply spur of the moment decisions IMO.

YouTube the Jonny Evans kick on Drogba and tell me how the FA, after watching that, decided no action was necessary. Rafael was let off last week after a conference call with Ferguson. Countless other examples of Rooney elbows and Ronaldo kicks have gone unpunished by both referees and the FA. The only 'harsh' thing the FA have done to United was the Ferdinand ban - everything else stinks of corruption.

Not that anyone will ever do anything about it.

Am I barking up the wrong tree here or is there a potential Serie A-style corruption going on?

Maybe I'm just bitter, but something just doesn't feel right.

everyone knows it on tv but nobody has the guts to say it or they will not be asked back on, money talks or should i say money makes people not talk?

Corruption is a mighty accusation. Personally, I think the FA and it's members are far too pure to accept payments to fix games. But I do think many of it's members and referees are intimidated by Sir Red Nose, and as a result favour United. Imagine giving a penalty to the opposite team against United that puts the game out of their favour. They will then get a tongue lashing from Fergie, and he won't be punished for it due to the "respect" he "deserves".

EDIT: A journalist or something needs to get wind of that Fulham article, could cause some damage.

up until the arsenal game this season we had not lost when clattenburg had reffed us, does that mean he was biased towards us?

while the neville reds were puzzling, the one at west brom more so than the one at stoke, the nani incident was at 1-0 in a game they were dominating, hardly a 'game turning' decision.

In my opinion any talk about corrupt/unbiased/pro united/anti city refs is all bull, its a bloody hard job, so give them some slack. We've had the benefit of several dodgy decisions this season, think Blackpool away, soft pens this and last season.

Yes united have had some very strange decisions, but they've had plenty go against them, Bowyer v brum, so it's not all one way!

Probably wasting your time on here mate, I posted a reasoned and well evidenced thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=204558 which seems to be not what gets any appreciation, people recently seem to only reply to stupid threads about caption competitions, what is your favourite pasta? or real imature dross, pisses me off, and am beginning to feel any efforts to debate serious matters are better done elsewhere tbh.

Let me ask you this then - were the Serie A games much more consistently blatant? Genuine question - I would be very interested to hear from anyone who watched any of those matches in question.
