Don't think Mansour wants to outspend everyone in the hopes of winning the Champions League, but rather he has quickly built the foundations of a perennial Champions League team, which, with the other revenue streams being put in place, will make us self-sustaining in the near term and profitable in the long term.

I would imagine Mansour has made clear that we are EXPECTED to be (at a minimum) Top 4, challenging hard for the Championship again, get out of our CL group and into the Knockout Phase and hopefully beyond Round Two, and to have a decent domestic cup run, possibly winning one. By May 25th, we will be expected to have another pot on the shelf.

To do that, we need 2 or 3 QUALITY players and we need to be blooding the top 4-5 youngsters as we beginning the task of building the bridge between the EDS and the First Team Squad for BOTH EPL and Europe. I said elsewhere that we should have at least 2 EDS players in each squad, and use them whenever and wherever possible.
