No Time To Die (Spoilers)

Went to see it today. If you like car chases and endless shoot-outs, it may be the film for you. If that sort of thing leaves you cold, welcome to my world. The odd funny line but at over 2 and a half hours, it seemed to go on for ever. Perhaps I have gone over the target demographic now. Wait for the new Star Trek!

If you don't like things like car chases and shoot outs, you should stay away from Bond movies.

One such event in this latest Bond movie is truly epic.

I'm a long time Bond movie fan and I think this will go down as one of the best; will have to see how it stands up to to the test of time.

Can't discuss the story but the film is extremely will filmed and edited. It is long but never dull.

Zimmer's score is pretty good and has some nice nods to the past but no one can match John Barry's work.

Fair point. Bit caught up in the hype and no cinema for 18 months.

Got a feeling it's going to be a bit shite.

Too woke and too long at 2 hours and 43 minutes long.

Every Daniel Craig Bond has been pretty awful since Casino Royale (which was very good) so I don't hold much hope.
Skyfall was excellent, and Spectre was a good watch as well. I'll give you Quantum of Solace though.

I saw it this afternoon and I have to say some of the stuff in it is the best Craig era Bond I've seen. If you've read the Bond book You Only Live Twice well most of the ideas in the film come from that novel or a twist of an idea thats in that novel. Don't normally go to watch a film twice at the cinema but I'll give it a week and I'll probably go and watch it again.

So I take it that is the last Bond movie ever then? They can't comeback from that as it would go against everything they said in the film. It's not like they can say he got off the island and they kept it secret to keep him hidden from Madeline and his kid. And hey ho, they found an antidote in the meantime

Personally I didn't think it was a bad film, it was just too long. That plotline could have been done in 2hrs. And it got very predictable how they were going to end it.

I think maybe my expectations were set too high after the superb Casino Royale. Quantum of Solace isn't great but goes together quite nicely with Casino Royale so if you watch them one day after another it doesn't seem so bad.

I didn't like the similarities to The Dark Knight with Skyfall and I also didn't think the computer 'hacking' scenes really fit in with a Bond movie.

Spectre the start was great but I can't remember much else.

Am I right in understanding that I can take my 8 year old to watch a 12A film? He's a mad Bond fan and would love to take him to see Daniel Craig's last outing.
