Huddersfield train station closed from 30th August to 28th September, so will affect the league cup match as due to be on 22 or 23 sept !!!
Brighouse 3 miles from HuddsIsn't Halifax closer ? There is the 1 84 bus that runs every hour and probably a replacement bus service from greenfield.
Yes . It's all part of the train fare .I just did the shuttle bus to Huddersfield from Brighouse . Takes about ten minutes . All services from Manchester airport to Huddersfield are also rail replacement buses and also stop at Stockport before tanking down the motorway. Journey takes about an hour from Stockport .Going home could be challenging but if you arrive early to enjoy Huddersfield (great beer options) then there's a shuttle bus from Brighouse, presumably included in train fare?
No trains running in or out of Huddersfield in any direction for a month , starting today . They are replacing and upgrading bridges on the viaduct , as well as putting a new roof on the station. So, if you're on a rogue train , you'll be wanting to jump off before it plunges off the rails ..Presumably trains are still running through the station but just not stopping?
A well timed pull on the emergency cord will see you right.
Won’t get you back home though…..
Bridges you say? Putting a cover on you say?No trains running in or out of Huddersfield in any direction for a month , starting today . Avoid Halifax. Good advice in general, but surrounded by roadworks for the last year. The last train from Halifax is 23.16 via Rochdale if you want to risk it.Going home could be challenging but if you arrive early to enjoy Huddersfield (great beer options) then there's a shuttle bus from Brighouse, presumably included in train fare?
Lone driver in Yorkshire. What could possibly go wrong?or stick your thumb out for a lift and when a lone woman driver pulls over and asks where you are going,
say...
how would you like your udders feeled?
No. The date/time has to be confirmed first.Any news on tickets yet?
The 184 bus from Oldham - an amazing ride in daylight.
But no late-night buses, so you'd have to take a tent.
While visiting the cultural paradise that is Huddersfield, consider the very rare surviving Wimpy Bar in Cloth Hall Street, which has table service! Just like the 1960s.
People also askThe match is shown as being on Sky Sports + along with many other ties.
I have a full subscription for Sky Sports but haven’t been able to watch anything shown for Sky Sports +.
Has anyone got a clue how to access these streams?
