I meant to post the link to this the other week but forgot. I wasn’t going to bother and then Utd fans started going on about the Youth Cup final crowd, little City and nobody is bothered - we all know the abuse.
Anyway, this is a story from 50 years ago this month when Utd chanted that they’d rather win the Derby than the Cup (yes really!). Oh and they invaded the pitch causing the Derby to be cut short (for the 2nd consecutive time at OT).
It’s about a City defeat in a game that didn’t matter but the Utd fan stuff might be useful to Blues who are on the receiving end of Utd ‘banter’:
