Err, no we wouldn't

No, we wouldn't. Does Noel think people still just rock up and pay on the gate? Has he ever heard of a season ticket waiting list? The man is out of touch and a buffoon to boot.
Not a bad point fella but he's better than mick hucknall haha
He's one of us and we are all entitled to our opinions surely

Gary Neville's commentary was spot on today...no United bias whatsoever.

Definitely the best pundit around.

Whatever you think of him as a person, he has been there and done it, probably more than anyone else, so talks with the hindsight of experience.

Noel rocks btw.

My views entirely.

When Noel suckered Neville in with the "hypocracy" comment and Neville fell in the trap was excellent viewing.

Oh uwerosler come on fella grow up and get a life! I thought it was a brilliant interview. Hated Neville as a play, more than I've ever hated anyone, but as a pundit and interviewer hes probably the best around. It was funny and everything noel said was pretty spot on. And we wont sell out unless we drop the ridiculous prices. We've just won a derby..... again! Lighten the fuck up

Really? I thought it was a decent enough idea, but really poorly done. Maybe it was just really badly edited, but it seemed like Noel was hardly answering any of Neville's questions, there was no flow to the thing whatsoever.

Not criticising Noel at all for what he said, it was fair enough. But I think ex-player vs. ex-player would've made better viewing than ex-player vs. fan who thinks everyone is entitled to his opinion.

Soccer Saturday did a nice feature yesterday with Lakey on past derbies (particularly the 5-1, and talking about Maine Road) - that was much better viewing.

If Noel was in touch and not a celebrity fan these days who only appears for the glamour games, surely he'd know 7,000+ have committed to a season ticket, the majority of whom Tom Glick confirmed are NOT current ST holders relocating. So that is essentially around 45,000 season ticket holders which would be the third highest in England. I just don't understand all this going on about our fan base size when our attendances are the 14th highest in all of Europe and next year will be 8th or 9th. Do people have a go at Juventus, Roma, Atletico, Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton, Spurs, Celtic, Feyenoord, etc., all of whom have smaller average attendances than City?

It's the only thing the rags and their media have over us now hence the non stop barrage. The biggest Cheer from the bellends today was when our attendance was announced. Clearly a sell out as every league match has been was more exciting than the shit they were witnessing from their side.

Juventus having less average crowds than City say's it all about the state of Italian football. Do they fleece the fans like they do here?

That's a good post and thanks for all that information about attendances and fans relocating which I didn't know but I should know as I am never off here.

However, that is the reason we should always back Noel. He is a genuine fan and he isn't expected to know everything. Just the same as me and you he has the right to prefer Kolorov over Clichy or the other way round.

All he has to do on the TV is show that he loves the club as much as me and you do. The same goes with Liam and Ricky Hatton - wouldn't swap my celebrity fans for anybody else's.

Also; many on here will agree with him reference his scepticism about the Champions League.

The quote from Tom Glick. Why would a season ticket holder be on a list for a new season ticket, or do you need to be on the list to get in the new stand?

Shirley you'd rather have James Nesbit, Zoë Ball and Eamonn 'fat ****' Holmes than Noel, Liam and Ricky?

We'll see how many empty seats there are when it's up. Get the price right and they'll be full!

Absolutely and at the rate they are going up in Colin Bell level three I'm not sure how much longer I can afford to sit there thats for sure.

Charge a pound for the kids and a fiver for adults and they will sell out no problem.

Then make your brass out the store etc.

frustrating isn't it ,when it comes from fellow blues, next seasons capacity will be 54 thousand,we will average 52 thousand,,when the capacity is 60 thousand,we will average 56 /57,we had this talk when we left main rd, "48,000,you will never fill it ",they also said the same thing when we left hyde rd for maine rd,and look what happened there, att of 60,70,and one at 84000,,and all that was only possible, becouse the ground was big enough,.we live,in a huge catchment area, one with a great deal of affection, for the team in blue,,build it and they will fill it

to be fair it's part of the celebrity circuit and Noel's a member off it, he ain't exactly gonna call neville a rag **** etc ersonally I would have refused to be in the same room as the fuckwit

Thought the interview was class
I absolutley agree with Noel on the 60000 seats - i would prefer them to be kicking the doors in before we go to the 60000...think he is bang on there....and dont see whats so good about having 15000 new jonny come latelys to fill the ground (where were they when we were shite!)

Those Johnny come lately's will have a big say in the future as the Brand develops.

I sit in the third tier colin bell £750 for a season ticket this time round I'm not sure at the rate it's going up year on year I'll be able to afford it much longer, my barrier is £1000 once it hits that, I'm done with the season ticket in that stand.

So perhaps the availability of cheaper tickets by the ground being extended may be were I have to look for tickets in the future.

Maybe they weren't even born...:).

Try standing in the freezing cold scoreboard end at Maine Road in 1965 with 8,014 other freezing souls.

City are planning for the future..if they are not greedy with prices, will not be a problem filling it. On any given week a few thousand seasoncard holders will be on holiday, or not be able to make it for some other reason, like at any club.

The average gate in our 1967/68 Championship winning season was around 35,000, even though the ground at the time held 60,000+.

Well with that kind of negative attitude I am glad you don't run my Company or for that matter MCFC. Obviously set in your ways and not keen on progress. I have supported City for longer than I wish to mention but I am excited about the club moving forward and becoming a world leader in football.
