Nolito - 2016/17 performances

Some people moaned about signing a player of his age but it actually adds maturity to his play. (Unlike Shrek, who's just fcuked!)

And for the price we paid, we're not expecting a decade at the top; more a helpful bridge towards full Monty Pep football.
There's no value in the transfer market........

he is like a caged tiger, there was only one thing on his mind when he came on the pitch saturday and he got it...

I'm definitely happy with Nolito - great work rate, good teammate, puts in a few goals.

An observation - neither positive or negative, just something I saw - in the Derby.

At one point in the game we're on the break with Iheanacho bringing the ball forward. Nolito makes a run towards goal - a bit too soon for 'Nacho and goes offsides. And then 'Nacho seems to pass the ball right to the obviously offside Nolito.

I yell at my TV screen, "Why did you pass that ball?!?"

Nolito too is pissed off. He collects the ball but is immediately called offside and then turns and remonstrates with 'Nacho.

But the curious thing is that this passage is replayed with a wider camera angle. In the wider view, Sane makes a run similar to Nolito's but wider. And Sane is onside. If Nolito lets the ball go, Sane is in on goal. The commentator remarks about this.

So I'm left wondering... did 'Nacho intend the pass for Sane, or was it just luck that Sane was there?

Very disappointed in the twattish behaviour first half, Pep needs to sort that out sharpish.
He'll have to cut it out. The red card against Bournemouth was mind boggling in its stupidity and, with a different ref on a different day, he could have walked today.
