Nolito - 2016/17 performances

Do you question the brain of the man who signed him ?

We had our best run with Nolito in the team.
Absolutely. After the ban you would have expected him to go straight back into the team, but he's hardly been seen since. It's these sort of things that confuse me regarding football managers, it's not as if the change in fortune wasn't obvious without him. Also, him being in the team kept Raheem on the right which is the only place he should ever be. He is also a fighter, something we are short of at the moment, as long as he keeps his head to himself.

Not a fan myself tbh. Looks busy without being busy. Decent squad player but that's it for me.

I think that's fine though, I doubt he was brought in to be anything more. The problem is that the team is performing so poorly that fans are now looking for a saviour and because Nolito has been out of the side people think he is it. He isn't, not by a long shot.

Can you show me an example of where anyone has claimed him to be a saviour?

Some are saying that we look a more balanced side with him in it, that's all.

Well nobody gives a toss where Nolito is or about the balance of the side when we win games but when we get beat all of a sudden its "Wheres Nolito" like him being out of the side is problem. When we beat Arsenal with Sane and Sterling I dont remember a consensus of "Oh didnt we look unbalanced though without Nolito". Everything on here is reactionary based on the latest result.

So you can't show me an example I take it?

The Arsenal game is a good example.

And from what I saw, I think he was benched after trying that second headbutt(Leicester?) Pep probably wasn't happy after Nolito didn't learn a thing from the suspension.

But he's fine with Aguero and Dinho getting suspended over and over?

Ermm, I asked for an example of where anyone is claiming him to be a saviour.

Oh and while I'm at it, the first post I responded to mentioned him being caught offside, just checked the stats as it wasn't something that particularly struck me about him, lo and behold Zabaleta has been caught offside more per game than Nolito.

The sad thing is that Dortmund signed Ousmane Dembele for 16 mill Euro, while we signed Nolito for 14 mill pound !

I don't know why our expert scouts, chiefs and coaches decided to sign Nolito with this amount of money and not Dembele !
